About Us
Our Mission:
The Solid Rock Children's Ministry’s mission is to connect children to Jesus Christ and to each other. We recognize that parents have been given the primary responsibility for their children’s faith education (Deuteronomy 6:4-9), however, as a ministry team, we are honored to partner with parents to help children be all that they can be in Jesus! We want children to fall in love with Jesus and experience His abundant life.
We know that the greatest impact on the heart of a child happens when the family and the church partner together. We have wonderful teachers who lovingly lead children through age appropriate Bible study, worship, prayer time, offering, activities, and missions projects (locally and globally).
Our Ministry Goals:
- Lead children to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior
- Partner with parents in laying the spiritual foundation
- Teach Children how to be sensitive to the moving of the Holy Spirit
- Teach children how to praise and worship the Lord
- Help children establish a strong prayer life
- Advance the spiritual maturity of our children
- Encourage scripture memorization
- Equip children to be the next generation of Spirit-filled leaders, by using their gifts and talents for the Lord
- Teach children how to serve others
- Teach children how to lead others to Jesus Christ.
Our ministry programs are available for children ages birth through 11 yrs.
Sunday Morning - Nursery, Sunday School, and Children’s Church.
Sunday Night - Nursery, and one combination class (preschool and elementary ages).
Wednesday Night – we offer two classes for both preschool and elementary ages.
Nursery Ministry (Birth - 3 yrs)
Toddlers develop through wiggling, squirming, tumbling and exploring the world around them. Our nursery staff provides a safe, nurturing, and loving environment for babies and toddlers, where they can learn simple Biblical truths through play and activity choices. It’s never too early for children to learn about God’s perfect love.
Preschool Ministry (3 - 6 yrs)
Giggle, wiggle, run and sing. This is the wonderful world of preschoolers. So how do we teach these energetic little ones about Jesus? Our preschool program is designed to give our younger learners a first impression of our Heavenly Father. As our little ones learn the basics of our faith, they begin to understand: 1) God made me!, 2) God loves me!, 3) God is always with me! Kids will will be introduced to God's Word as they learn Old and New Testament truths through praise and worship, prayer time, bible stories, crafts, games, and cool puppets; as they learn how to apply God's Word to their daily lives.
Elementary Ministry (7-11 yrs)
Our committed teachers will lead children on an adventure of a lifetime; exploring God’s truth, growing in a personal relationship with Him, experiencing His love and discovering His plan for their lives. Kids have an amazing ability to understand Biblical truth and apply it to their lives. They will experience solid bible teaching, powerful praise and worship, creative object lessons, multi-media presentations, skits, drama, and more!
What We Believe
- We believe the Bible, in its entirety, is the inspired Word of God.
- We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons—Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, crucified, buried, raised from the dead, ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as the Intercessor.
- We believe all persons have sinned and come short of the glory of God, and that repentance is necessary to obtain forgiveness of sins.
- We believe the new birth is the result of faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in sanctification subsequent to the new birth, initiated by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ and perpetuated by the Word of God and the Holy Spirit.
- We believe holiness is God’s standard of living for His people.
- We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit subsequent to a clean heart, with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance.
- We believe every Christian should follow Christ’s example of baptism by immersion, in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
- We believe divine healing is a provision of the atonement of Jesus Christ.
- We believe in spiritual gifts, as well as the fruit of the Spirit.
- We believe in the Lord’s Supper and his example of washing the disciples' feet.
- We believe in the premillennial second coming of Jesus Christ, first, to rapture the church, second, to reign on earth a thousand years.
- We believe in a bodily resurrection, resulting in eternal life for the righteous and eternal punishment for the unrighteous.
